ABOUT

I'm not sure when 11eleven took the form we define it with today: initially it was nothing more than a handful of sweatshirts and t-shirts (because 10 years ago, every sweatshirt or t-shirt we got our hands on had something we weren't entirely convinced by—editor's note). Then the range began to expand, and after the first models, we began to understand that it could be a great idea, that, combined with the buying habits of the time, it could give the store a boost (11eleven was born first as a physical location, perhaps also for this reason, the brand took time to mature.

During that time, which was necessary to let our ideas mature, we realized we could have a lower impact (the fashion world is one of the most polluting sectors—Editor's note: another source) if we chose the path of circularity: drawing on what had already been expended in terms of environmental and human energy was the most logical choice, which also perfectly aligned with the personal path we had undertaken. This choice, even today, proves to be one of the wisest, because the side effect is that of keeping creativity flexible and active (when you can do everything, you might be complacent, but when you have to unearth and work with what you have available, you can draw on ideas that perhaps, in more "comfortable" situations, wouldn't occur to you).

The pandemic was objectively a watershed moment, defining the before and after: many dynamics changed, some suppliers took paths that no longer matched ours, we ourselves felt the need to slow down and reconsider some choices made in a world that, in some ways, no longer existed.

They say change comes when you step out of your comfort zone and question what was once okay: that was certainly the case for us.
Learning to let go wasn't easy (we're still working on this topic today, which I know is a topic for many).

Today, we've decided to take a further step: making part of our production process visible to those who frequent the eleven village store. Having a dedicated 11eleven area in the store is intended to be a "restaurant with an open kitchen" because we believe in the power of sharing and because we want to give something back to all those whose trust makes the brand's progress possible.

A dozen seasons later, we look at what has been accomplished so far and we couldn't be more grateful;
the road is long and the margins for improvement are always high.
With the desire to always be a pleasant place to spend time and where you can find clothes that make you feel good, designed to accompany you throughout your life.
